Notes

Note that there are at least four confirmed versions of the US "Girl" CD, and it may be hard to tell which you have just by looking at them. 4 of the 10 tracks are different: "Baby Don't Forget My Number" (appearing originally in a 6:28 version, then edited down to 4:16), "More Than You'll Ever Know" (originally 4:00, later 4:32), "Take It As It Comes" (originally 3:41, later 4:15), and "I'm Gonna Miss you (originally 3:57, finally 4:24).

The four pressings:
1. The original first pressing has "11591-1" in the inner metallic ring and is 44:15 minutes long and it includes the 12" Subway Mix Edit of "Baby Don't Forget My Number". It was released in North America (United Stated and Canada) before the single release of "Baby Don't Forget My Number", on March 8, 1989.
2. The second pressing "11591-2" is 43:09 minutes long and it includes the Album Version of "Baby Don't Forget My Number" (labeled as such on the North American release of the single). It was released in North America AFTER the single release of "Baby Don't Forget My Number".
3. The third pressing "11591-3" is 43:09 minutes long and it's almost identical to the second pressing "11591-2", obviously released before the release of the "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" single.
4. The fourth pressing "11591-4" is 43:36 and it's the final pressing of the album. It includes the Single Version of "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" although the track keeps its original album title, simply "I'm Gonna Miss You". The previous three pressings include the Album Version of the track.

Additionally, the record club pressings clock at 43:09.

Record Clubs released new albums after they were on the market for about six months or so. Clearly, the Record Clubs releases were mastered from the "11591-2" edition of the album (i.e. the second pressing).

Note that this submission is for the '-3' version, the third pressing. The release date is an estimate, as it was released after Baby Don't Forget My Number" hit No. 1, but before "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" hit No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart.

The group was founded by Frank Farian in 1988 and consisted of Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus. The group's debut album titled All or Nothing in Europe and reconfigured as Girl You Know It's True in the United States, achieved international success and earned them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist on 21 February 1990. Milli Vanilli became one of the most popular pop acts in the late 1980s and early 1990s, with millions of records sold. Hell, anybody would use Girl You Know It's True as proof, since the pretty boys that purported to be Milli Vanilli - that would be Rob and Fab, the good-looking, ridiculously dreadlocked models on the cover - didn't sing on the records. They weren't in the studio during recording, either they just came in for photo sessions, videos, concerts, and award ceremonies. Before Milli Vanilli got to it, this was a European dance hit from the Maryland-based band The Numarx. Released in 1987 as a 12 single running 7:27, it was popular in German dance clubs, which is probably where Milli mastermind Frank Farian heard the song. The Numarx version is slower with more spacing between the elements, but it's clearly the same song. The original version puts more focus on the story, which is a guy coming to the realization that the girl he's seeing is the one he wants to be with. It includes a bit of opening dialogue: Guy: You mean a lot to me. You have to understand where it came from: from the trash to over 40 million records sold in the world Forget for a minute that the two men you thought sang Milli Vanillis Girl You Know Its True didnt actually perform on that 1989 No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 pop smash-turned-lip-synch-scandal. While you're at it, forget that the so-called Svengali behind the recording and marketing of True - German studio wizard Frank Farian - had nothing to do with writing the track, either. What if we told you that in addition to fooling
