It was released independently in Cleveland, Ohio, United States in 1995. Some songs have been remastered on XX. Many of the songs contain samples from movies. This is the only album to feature the original line-up, as member Mr. The album was re-pressed in 2002 along with Superbuick and M3 with alternate. Mushroomhead are one of the most unique and adventurous alternative metal bands working today. Known for their stunningly theatrical live show and artsy masks, this innovative band has forged new ground in the rock world and influenced many other bands to push the envelope and bring art into rock. Formed in the early-1990s in Cleveland Ohio, the bands combination of metal, rock and atmospheric elements has struck a chord with thousands of fans worldwide. Mushroomhead released their 1995 self-titled debut album independently and it went on to became an underground hit. This was history in the making because the band really had no proper distribution. No one will accuse Mushroomhead of not having an intriguing image on stage, most of their members wear black masks that look like a cross between S&Mbondage masks and World War I-style gas masks. The exception is the member who wears Kiss-like clown makeup instead. Mushroomhead's unusual look is definitely an attention-getter, but having an interesting image wouldn't mean much if the Cleveland band didn't have some worthwhile music to go with it
