Album
11 is a 1972 album by Grin, featuring songs by their guitarist Nils Lofgren. As well as being an album in its own right, this was released by CBS in the UK as part of a 1976 double album set along with its predecessor Grin. The original LP was a gatefold. It had a photo of Nils on the front, with Bob & Bob on the back. The inside features triple exposure photos of the band members performing, giving the impression of motion. The Sides are not labelled 1 & 2. The first side is labelled Rockin' Side. Album 1971 10 Songs. Nils got a decent amount of airplay in the northeast US on FM radio. Kind of a concept album in that he states he bunches the hard rockers on side one and calls side two the dreamy side. Nils definitely can play, & puts thought into each of his songs. If you like rock guitar and various textures, and you've never heard this album, I would say take a chance. It's a highly underrated LP. Responder Ver 1 resposta Notifique-me Helpful. Nils Lofgren is a 1975 album by Nils Lofgren, also known as the Fat Man Album. It was his first solo album, following the breakup of his group, Grin. The album was critically praised at the time of its release, most notably in a 1975 Rolling Stone review by Jon Landau. The 1983 Rolling Stone Record Guide said it was a tour de force of unquenchable vitality and disarming subtlety. In 2007, nearly 32 years after the release of Nils Lofgren, the album was again praised by Rolling Stone in the Fricke. Would you like to tell us about a lower price. This is another outstanding album from Nils Lofgren. He is meticulous in his songwriting, performance, and production. Too bad that his albums never got the success that they deserved. The guy is good and this album is more evidence of that. The album has one side that is labeled Rockin' Side and the other Dreamy Side. The first side does rock, but not in any gritty hard-edged way. This is radio-friendly rock that is melodic, fun, and slickly produced. That single never got higher than number 75, though, and the album sold very little outside of Lofgren's home base in the northern Virginia and Maryland suburbs of Washington, D. Nonetheless, this is an enjoyable recording produced by Neil Young associate David Briggs. Lofgren's guitar playing is strong throughout, and the songs are often cleverly constructed and quite catchy, if lightweight
