Lo - Nine Stones Close on STONES CLOSE was conceived as a solo project by Adrian Jones Numb, Lie Big, Jet Black Sea: the first album, St Lo, was independently released in the Netherlands. The project grew into a band for Traces when Adrian was joined by Brendan Eyre Riversea, Marc Atkinson Mandalaband, Riversea and Neil Quarrell. In 2016 a new line up was announced, with Adrian Jones and Pieter van Hoorn now joined by vocalist Adrian Aio O'Shaughnessy Psychic For Radio, Frame Shift, Christiaan Bruin on keyboards Sky Architect, Mayra Orchestra and Peter Groen on bass. The music is more progressive in nature than Lie Big and encompasses many of Ade's other influences. Nine Stones Close or Nine Stone Close grid reference SK225626 is a Bronze Age stone circle near Winster in Derbyshire, England. It is sometimes known as Grey Ladies. Nine Stones Close is a small stone circle is located on the edge of Harthill Moor in Derbyshire, part of a rich prehistoric landscape which includes Bronze Age barrows and settlement enclosures. It consists of four remaining upright stones which were originally part of a circle of around 30m in diameter, plus the sites of several. Nine Stones Close is Adrian Jones' musical music is guitar led progressive rock and encompasses many of Ade's. While the other guys were busy with life I finished off a project I had been working on called Nine Stones Close - St Lo, released it, and went in another direction. Anyway, this Lie Big album is packed full of cracking songs in my opinion and I am still very proud of it. We had great fun making it, and I think we created a great sludgy filthy grungy rock noise.
