Live and Loud is a live video by American rock band Nirvana, released in September 2013. It was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the band's third and final studio album, In Utero. It features the band's full concert on December 13, 1993 at Pier 48 in Seattle, which had been recorded by MTV and broadcast in abridged form. The DVD also contains bonus footage from other performances from the In Utero tour. Live at the Paramount is a live video and album by American rock band Nirvana, released in September 2011. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc as part of the 20th anniversary of the band's second album and mainstream breakthrough, Nevermind. It features the band's live performance at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington on October 31, 1991. Recorded five weeks after the release of Nevermind, the footage is taken from the only Nirvana show to be shot on 16 mm film. The Blu-ray features. Album 1994 14 Songs. Dave Grohl, whose outsized drumming had concerned Cobain and the producers ahead of the performance, played with brushes for the very first time, showing total control as the drums kicked in on Bowies The Man Who Sold the World. Cris and Curt Kirkwood-of the influential but often overlooked Arizona psych-punk outfit Meat Puppets-sat in for luminous readings of not one but three of their own songs. Live At The Paramount. Back to Music. Released: 2012. Fresh off the release of what was soon becoming the seminal album of a generation, Nirvana took to the stage of Seattles famed Paramount Theatre to an unwavering homecoming crowd while on the road in support of Nevermind. Launching the nineteen song set with a brilliant cover of the Vaselines Jesus Doesnt Want Me For A Sunbeam, the band cranks out their soon-to-be iconic songs Smells Like Teen Spirit, Lithium and Breed, while delivering earlier fan favorites School, Love Buzz and About A Girl. Nirvana - Live at the Paramount 1991 Paramount Theater, Seattle, WA, October. Released September 27, 2011. Live At The Paramount Tracklist. Released on the 20th anniversary for Nevermind, many say that this is the best Nirvana performance for its raw energy, still untouched by fame. This is the only Nirvana concert to be recorded in HD on 16mm film, although the Blu-Ray version was given a 05 on for poor sync with the video. The encore at the end of the performance consisted the final three songs-the early version of Rape Me , 8 minutes of Territorial Pissings with the intro of Get Together , and the hidden track off Nevermind, Endless, Nameless. Nirvana recorded their live album MTV Unplugged in New York on November 18, 1993. For the MTV Unplugged series, bands went stripped-down acoustic - but that wasn't entirely true for Cobain, who insisted on putting his guitar through his trusted Fender Twin Reverb amp and an array of effects boxes. The producer then disguised the various gadgets. Maybe I shouldn't give this secret away, Coletti confessed, but I built a fake box out in front of the amp to make it look like a monitor wedge. Behind the scenes at Nirvana's 'Live And Loud' show, as told by the people who witnessed history. McCarthy-Miller: We shot this pretty soon after Nirvana did 'Unplugged,' and I think that was a big moment for the band, and how they related to the channel. Before, maybe they had been a bit standoffish - when we did 'Unplugged' Kurt was not that approachable - but he was very gregarious, he was very easy to work with. We had these big trailers for all the bands, and I remember that he had Frances with him all day, just playing with her. I think he was very happy we were doing this in Seattle, that he could see his old f. This live-album is recorded with acoustic instruments at the MTV in New York. It shows a certain maturity of the band. Never thought I needed a Nirvana album that I can fall asleep to, but I'm so glad it exists Favorite track- Where did you sleep last night. Since Nirvana had never performed without full-on electricity, the rehearsals were tense. MTV brass werent thrilled when the promised guests turned out to be the Meat Puppets and not, say, anyone from Pearl Jam. Cobain was going through withdrawal that morning. Most of what we witnessed up close is on the released footage, like the moment before Pennyroyal Tea when Cobain shrugs, OK, but heres another one I could screw up. Yet for all its ramshackle charm, what was also striking was how together the performance was. The set moved efficiently from one song to the next
