After having created the National Jazz Orchestra of Dahomey original name of Benin during the sixties, Nestor Hountondji, musician and gendarme, creates the Orchestra Volcanos of the Capital, an orchestra of the gendarmerie of Porto-Novo, the capital policy of Benin.
