Believe In Nothing is a the eighth studio album by the British band Paradise Lost. Main songwriter Gregor Mackintosh has stated that this album doesn't really exist for him, as it was an album in which the band was out of creative control the album went under strict instructions from the label. Mackintosh has also said that he feels some songs, such as World Pretending', deserved a better sound and production Discover more music, concerts, videos, and pictures. Believe in Nothing. Paradise Losts seventh studio album, released on EMI Electrola GMBH in 1999. I Am Nothing. Aware of some, aware of nothing more I have no faith, I cannot settle scores You hope some day, Ill move out of the dark Your wishes fail, cause I am nothing. Slave to it all once again I fear Slave to it all are the ones most dear Thrilling you all with my tales not real You believe in them time after time. On hopeless days I sit and justify A wholesome life of which Im so deprived I hope and pray that I wont stay around Too long to stain, cause I am nothing. Album 2001 12 Songs. Metal 2001. And that's exactly what they do on Believe in Nothing, serving up a bunch of tracks that could appeal to a wide range of music fans. Tight and melodic, Mouth is an excellent example of how to write a chart-topping rock song. In fact, almost exactly the same thing could be said about Fader and Illumination. Look at Me Now is also a noteworthy tune, but probably a little too easy on the ear and thus lacking staying power. The suitably sullen Never Again, on the other hand, gets better with each spin. Type: Full-length. Originally the album had a very different tracklisting. The label insisted the band go back to the studio to write some singles. Mouth, Fader, and Sell It to the World were the results of those sessions. The songs they replaced were later used as B-sides. The band is generally dissatisfied with this album, as seen on their autobiographical DVD Over the Madness. Part of this stems from the fact that they were in the recording studio one member at a time, at the behest of the label. Recording information: Recorded by Paradise Lost: From April to
