One of a series of ten landmark albums, reissued on vinyl to celebrate The Leaf Label’s 20th year. LP includes original CD album in miniature Leaf 20 design card wallet, Leaf catalogue inner sleeves and spot varnished Leaf 20 logo on front cover.
A very limited number of white vinyl copies left over from the Leaf 20 box set were released in November 2016.
'Drunken Pharoah' is spelled incorrectly as 'Pharaoh' on the LP artwork, but as 'Pharoah' on the CD. Corrected above.

The kind of session that has won the group a diverse audience with exuberant music that opens out into moments of freewheeling abstraction. Peepers is the fourth album by Sebastian Rochford's British jazz band Polar Bear. Released in 2008, Peepers is Polar Bear's first release for Yorkshire-based label The Leaf Label. The album differs from earlier records in its lack of additional musicians and in the fact that it was recorded live, in one room without separators or headphones. The music was recorded in just two days and previous to that the band had minimal rehearsals, performing the music only at two shows at the Vortex Jazz Club in.
