Adios Amigos is the fourteenth and final studio album by the American punk rock band the Ramones. It was released on July 18, 1995, through Radioactive Records. The Ramones disbanded a year after its release and the subsequent tour. While bassist and songwriter Dee Dee Ramone had left the band following 1989's Brain Drain, Adios Amigos features six of his compositions, including three previously released: The Crusher was originally recorded for his debut solo album Standing in the Spotlight. The Ramones announced before the release of Adios Amigos that the record would likely be their last - unless it sold in massive quantities, that is. While it's hardly their best effort, Adios Amigos is an admirable way to bow out. The Ramones haven't progressed much since the mid-'80s, yet they have recaptured a bit of the inspiration that fueled their last great album, Too Tough to Die. Adios Amigos, 1995.
