Album

Halfway to Sanity is the 10th studio album by American punk band the Ramones, and their last album to feature drummer Richie Ramone. It was produced by Daniel Rey and released on September 15, 1987, by Sire Records. Recording sessions began that April at Intergalactic Studios in New York City, with the band recording instruments before vocals in order to learn songs more quickly. It fared well on charts outside the United States, but peaked at No. 172 on the Billboard 200. Although Halfway to Sanity still bears remnants of the heavy guitar attack of Animal Boy, it's actually a much sharper record than its predecessor, since it doesn't ignore the Ramones' trashy pop roots. There's still a noticeable lack of consistent material, yet cuts like Go Lil' Camaro Go and I Know Better Now have solid hooks, and a handful of other songs suggest that the Ramones could have handled their second decade a little more gracefully than they actually did. This is a very underrated Ramones album and my favorite studio album of theirs. all-time fave is Loco Live Rare pick slide on Garden of Serenity and lots of groovy backing vocals. Check out Go Little Camaro Go with Debbie Harry The Peds did a fantastic Death of Me cover which was faster and more aggressive
