If anybody knows who some of the unknown discoverers are, please let me know. Does anybody know of a grant that I could apply to for supporting this page I probably spend about 2 hours a night working on it. Please note my backup e-mail address: dbishopx at . Once a massive star builds a massive IronNickel core at the end of the Silicon Burning day, it is doomed. A catastrophic core collapse is followed by explosive ejection of the envelope in a Supernova. This lecture describes the stages of a core-bounce supernova explosion, and the subsequent seeding of the interstellar medium with heavy metals by the explosion debris. The fate of the collapsing core is the subject of the next lecture in this series. Recorded 2006 January 30 in 1008 Evans Laboratory on the Columbus campus. There is a great deal of primary and specialist literature on supernovae, with a great many scientific groups around the world focusing on the phenomenon and related subdisciplines, but what is to music from Richard Pogge like Lecture 38: The First Three Minutes.
