Album 2010 16 Songs. Chopin Arthur Rubinstein. Artist, Rubinstein Artist Format: Audio CD. As one could possibly expect, Rubinstein's playing is excellent. I already had the cassette version of this album, and I replaced it with the CD version of the album. You get a sense that Rubinstein is well within his depth in playing Chopin here, completely comfortable, making it all appear simple in the execution. Yet, there is a tone to his renditions that is as multi-faceted as the most well-considered painting-detailed, and strikingly clear. These are excellent interpretations. Some of the earliest transfers aren't so clean parts of his 1946 Preludes have an irritating hiss but when the pianist is in full torrent, as on the brief 'Prelude No 16 in B-flat minor', it makes little difference
