The name comes from a castle outside of Berlin that was one of the first psychiatric hospitals. Tegal biography Schloss Tegal is an American duo of Richard Schneider and Mark Burch. Their name is taken from a psychiatric hospital within a castle of the same name in Germany, where experiments were conducted on the patients during WWII. Their first release was Procession Of The Dead in 1989. Schloss Tegal can be considered one of the first Dark Ambient groups, alongside Lustmord, and Raison D'etre, though ST often use samples, and Industrial and Power Electronic influence as well.
