Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей The Sisters Of Mercy. There will never be another Sisters album, this was it. Not the highly polished alienation of 'Floodland' or the simmering egos of 'First and Last and Always', Vision Thing remains the best likeness that Eldritch's approach to a purely rock and roll album could achieve. It's the sort of record so loaded with in jokes and multiple entendres that even Alan Moore would be reticent to dissect it. Vision Thing is the third and most recent studio album by English gothic rock band the Sisters of Mercy. It was released on 22 October 1990 through Merciful Release and East West Records, with Elektra Records handling the US release. Soon after the release of the band's previous album, Floodland, Eldritch approached guitarist John Perry to join them on writing a new album. After Perry turned down the offer to become a full-time member, the band began to search for a new guitarist through their record. Songs in album The Sisters of Mercy - Vision Thing 1990. Album: Vision Thing 2016. Search any pictures . Vision Thing is completely different from the sound of First and Last and Always, it is instantly noticed by the opening and title track Vision Thing. The song is hard rock that is mixed in with some glam rock. Even this song differs from the sound of Floodland as Floodland is more downbeat than that of Vision Thing except for the song Something Fast, a ballad. This is a polarizing album among a lot of Sisters of Mercy fans as it should be. It is almost impossible to listen to the whole entire album even though it is 8 songs. The only song worth listening to is Doctor Jeep. After scoring big time with Floodland, Sisters of Mercy frontman Andrew Eldritch changed direction once again, heading this time for a guitar-based techno-rock feel. The title track became a club hit, where the driving tempo and distorted guitars provided a perfect dancefloor atmosphere. On Doctor Jeep and Detonation Boulevard, the lack of variation becomes quickly annoying, however, and Something Fast fails entirely in its efforts to be introspective and wistful. Originating from Leeds, the Sisters of Mercy were described by critic Steve Huey as playing a slow, gloomy, ponderous hybrid of metal and psychedelia, often incorporating dance beats. read more. Vision Thing is the third and, to date, final studio album by British gothic rock band The Sisters of Mercy, released in November 1990 on the bands own label Merciful Release. The album was designed by songwriter and singer Andrew Eldritch as an attack on the policies of the George H. Bush administration the title comes from an oft-cited quote by Bush. It appears the majority of tracks on the album are based on the original demos, Eldritch being unhappy with the mixed versions and going back to basics. Vision Thing Q&A
