Interior Design did little in the way to reverse the commercial fortunes of the group, and did not appear on the album charts in the US or the UK. Interior Design is an incredibly straight-forward album musically and lyrically by a band who are rarely straight-forward. It's also their weakest and the last I finally came around to after 6 years of obsessive Sparks fandom. Taken as a classy but rather disposible and generic for the most part late '80s pop album, it's possible to get some enjoyment out of it. So Important 02.
