When Stefan visited England in the 1970s, there were already some fine British Blues musicians and bands on the scene - to mention just a couple that I personally knew, Jo Ann and Dave Kelly, Tony McPhee, and so on- and Grossman was so impressed by Jo Ann Kelly that he actually asked her to record with him. Unfortunately, compared with the other discs, the Country Blues Guitar album, recorded between 1963 and 1971, is, like the proverbial parson's egg, only excellent in parts.
