It was an amazing experience to hear music so utterly different from anything I had encountered up to then. Pounding rhythms, grunts, screams, trances are all on this soundtrack. If you look on a map at where this music is coming from, it is literally in the middle of nowhere. I am not sure, but I would bet that some of the recordings go back to the 60s. A1Hausa Street Music.
