What a strange pair Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel made on this album and the previous one titled the Human Menagerie which by the way sounds nothing at ALL like this one. Anyway the piano lines and the short moments of flute bursts are quite beautiful. I like how the song gets orchestrated near the end with a background chorus chanting along with the lead singer. BUT, I don't think this album can be compared with Roxy Music or other glam rock bands because the Psychomodo doesn't really sound like any other album I've heard. Oh sure, the lead singer sounds like the guy from Mott the Hoople, but that's where the similarities end. Great album
