If you like this album please buy it for the full Card was the third and most successful studio album by the UK rock group Streetwalkers, which made the 20 in the UK album charts. The album features the lineup of Roger Chapman, Charlie Whitney, Bobby Tench of The Jeff Beck Group and Hummingbird, Nicko McBrain, who later played drums with Iron Maiden and bassist Jon Plotel. This groove heavy album was released in the UK by Vertigo and in the United States by Mercury during 1976 and remains a much respected album by many. Punk rock made the Streetwalkers seem like old farts, but Red Card proved upcoming metaphor overuse intended that they still had an ace up their sleeve. From the groove-heavy Roll up, Roll Up to the ferocious Run for Cover, this is the first and last great gasp from this band. In fact, had it come a few years earlier, it could have been included along with some of the better work by Chapman and Whitney's previous band, Family. Their first album was released in May 1974 Streetwalkers, followed by Downtown Flyers Oct 1975, Red Card May 1976, and Vicious But Fair Jan 1977.
