Album

It Was the Best of Times is the third live album by the English rock band Supertramp, released in April 1999. The album title makes use of the opening line from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. It Was the Best of Times was recorded in September 1997 at the Royal Albert Hall, London, England, UK during the It's About Time tour set up in support of the Some Things Never Change studio album. The double CD version of this album was very expensive when in late 1999 I wanted to buy it and maybe it is still very expensive now. The double CD contains the complete 21-song concert in it's entirety, as well as the occasional song introduction from saxophonist John Helliwell, so the album really does give you a marvelous you are there feel. The old Roger Hodgson songs are sung by Mark Hart who does his best but falls a bit short at times in emoting the lyrics the way Hodgson does. The rest is just quality through and through. Recent Listening Trend. Not the best known song but I love this rendition . Listen to me please. Язык: Русский. It is definitely the best Supertramp album. It took Pink Floyd an entire album to relate the process of falling into insanity. It took Supertramp one song. And that song is the worst one on the album, for Pete's sake This album is absolutely amazing all the songs are great and SIX out of the eight are on their greatest hits. It is the best. It was a significantly weaker album than previous 4 masterpieces since the relationship with Roger and Rick was strained at this point, which was reflected on the album itself. Despite that, the album was quite successful topping the charts in several countries, and had some hit singles like It's Raining Again. Still a good Supertramp album
