L'Orchestre Afrisa International. In 1970, Tabu Ley formed Orchestre Afrisa International. LOrchestre Afrisa International is one of the most consequential African bands of the 20th century. It was the third major Congolese band to feature vocal legend Tabu Ley Rochereau, but this was the band he led for most of his career, from its founding in 1970 until Tabu Leys death in 2013.
