Album
Four Thousand Seven Hundred And Sixty-Six Seconds - A Short Cut To Teenage Fanclub is a greatest hits album by Scottish alternative rock band Teenage Fanclub, released on 3 February 2003. Like all verifiable Glasgow bands, Teenage Fanclub write seductive shrines to love and disenchantment, love and wanderlust, sometimes just love and more love. Needless to say, at some point soon after 1991's heralded masterpiece Bandwagonesque, the 90s had to make their choice: rock songs about Scottish sunsets or rock songs about antichrists and bad sarcasm. In retrospect, we made the wrong decision. In the modern age, the only time you'll hear of Teenage Fanclub is in a sentence explaining how back in the early 90s, this music was somehow eroded by Nevermind. That's just lazy. Noel Gallagher hit the proverbial nail on the head in 1997 when he sat his labelmates Teenage Fanclub down at Air Studios in London and proclaimed them to be the second-best band in the world. He was right - but of course, Radiohead, and not his band, was arguably number one. Teenage Fanclub Format: Audio CD. Many Best Ofs feature the band's recordings in chronological order from a debut through the band's last album, which may not have much variety in between. Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-Six Seconds: A Short Cut to Teenage Fanclub Tracklist. The Concept Lyrics. The best of Teenage Fanclub as chosen by the band, including singles, album tracks and three new songs by each of the bands songwriters. The compilation was put together in order to fulfill their contract with Sony, which they were on only because it was the parent company of their previous label, Creation Records, which had folded. The contract required Teenage Fanclub to deliver two albums, the first of which was Howdy and this compilation was the second. Albüm 2002 1 Parça. Could have done with remastering for some tracks, especially the universally loved 'Everything Flows' for every version I have of it, not just this one. Teenage Fanclub - Four Thousand Seven Hundred And Sixty-Six Seconds: A Short Cut To Teenage Fanclub Album. Artist: Teenage Fanclub. Album: Four Thousand Seven Hundred And Sixty-Six Seconds: A Short Cut To Teenage Fanclub. There are many people who have not bought a Teenage Fanclub album since 1992, and the band's new career retrospective Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-Six Seconds: A Short Cut to Teenage Fanclub is the perfect place for people to start catching up. Spanning six albums over thirteen years, as far as guitar pop compilations go, this is as good as it gets, as you see the band metamorphose from the dissonant feedback-laced sounds of Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth, to Neil Young-style rock, to a straight-up Big Star imitation, to a lovely latter-day sound, reminiscent of the Byrds and Badfi.
