Released on Record Records July 2012. Teitur Lassen's fourth album is a delicate chrysalis that conceals darker matter. At first it sounds like a fragile singer-songwriter record, but as the artful arrangements reveal themselves, textured with sparse double bass, marimba and mariachi brass, they shore up his heavyweight lyrics. Lust and unattainable love are the subjects, but black-hearted visions colour his characters. Teitur Magnússon is a long time veteran of the Icelandic music scene, first with his highly popular reggae band Ojba Rasta and later as a solo artist. His second solo album was amongst the most highly anticipated releases in Iceland this year. The second album introduces a new approach in soundscape from the first one, although the original icelandic lyrics are still there, golden oldies quality songwriting and puzzles of different genres and styles shaken together into a blend of something quite extraordinary.
