Pyramid is a progressive rock album by The Alan Parsons Project, released in 1978. At the time this album was conceived, interests in pyramids and so-called pyramid power was all the rage. A pyramid could be found on the back of a dollar bill, there were stories in the newspapers about the supposed magical properties of pyramids and of course, the cover of The Dark Side of the Moon for which Parsons was the sound engineer. The album therefore contains nume. Not only does the album's theme evolve around the mystique of the pyramid, but it also touches on man's fascination with superstition and its powers. The instrumental Voyager opens things up, and its provocative style sets the tone for the album's supernatural mood. The bright-sounding What Goes Up is one of the highlights here, as is The Eagle Will Rise Again, sung by Colin Blunstone. Album 1978 9 Songs. Pyramid The Alan Parsons Project
