Album

The Road Goes On Forever was The Allman Brothers Band's first compilation album, a two-LP set released in 1975. It featured songs from the Allmans' first five albums. The album's title is a line from Midnight Rider. Black Hearted Woman Gregg Allman 5:18. Dreams Gregg Allman 7:19. Whipping Post Gregg Allman 5:22. Midnight Rider Gregg Allman, Robert Payne 3:00. The initial release of The Road Goes on Forever was solid, containing the simple basics of the Allmans' Capricorn recordings. The expanded version that Mercury released in 2001 improves it considerably by almost doubling its running length with 13 bonus tracks and sprawling over two full CDs. This gives plenty of space to showcase the Allmans at their unrestrained best, capturing some of their finest concert jams while sketching a full portrait of their time at Capricorn. 2018 г. Coming of age during the late-'60s supergroup boom, the Allman Brothers Band initially found fame by dosing their deceptively authentic taste for American blues and jazz with some guitar heroics, then taking to the road with ferocious abandon. As originally released in 1975, this anthology charted the high points of the Allman Brothers' initial five albums, highlighted by the fiery live recordings of At Fillmore East and Eat a Peach. Absolutely love this album, if you're looking for a best of the allman brothers this is the best. Read more. Music StyleSouthern Rock. Members owning this album3. DISC 1.
