Album
The Beatles, also known as the White Album, is the ninth studio album and only double album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 22 November 1968. Its plain white sleeve has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed, which was intended as a direct contrast to the vivid cover artwork of the band's previous LP Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Beatles is recognised for its fragmentary style and diverse range of genres, including folk, British blues, ska, music hall. The Beatles early releases were on the Vee-Jay, Swan and Tollie labels, before EMIs US counterpart, Capitol, sat up and took notice. The Capitol albums also contained a handful of alternative mixes and instrumental tracks not available anywhere else. Some of these are available on the Capitol Albums volumes, and are worth investigating for anyone interested in variations in tracklis. The Beatles - The Beatles 1968. The erroneously titled Beatles 65 was, including the Vee-Jay and UAs soundtrack, the seventh album of Beatles music to hit shelves in 1964. But it was as close to a concurrent U. record as they got that year. The U. This album along with Beatles VI is the best of the US albums. It's mostly a rocker, with some R&B tunes thrown in for good measure. Each song on the sprawling double album The Beatles is an entity to itself, as the band touches on anything and everything it can. This makes for a frustratingly scattershot record or a singularly gripping musical experience, depending on your view, but what makes the so-called White Album interesting is its mess
