The Cowsills is the eponymous debut album by American pop group and family, the Cowsills. The first single from the album was The Rain, The Park & Other Things, which reaching No. 2 on the Billboard pop chart. Similar in style to pop groups The Mamas & the Papas, Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, The Monkees, AM Pop and sunshine pop-style pop music of the time, the Cowsills produced a family-friendly music produced by an actual family. The Cowsills are an American singing group from Newport, Rhode Island, six siblings noted for performing professionally and singing harmonies at an early age, later with their mother. The band was formed in the spring of 1965 by brothers Bill, Bob, and Barry Cowsill with their brother John joining shortly thereafter.
