Chasing Shadows is the Comsat Angels' sixth album, released in 1986 on Island Records. Having left Jive Records, the band had gotten a recording contract with Island, aided by Robert Palmer, who confessed on a TV show to be a fan of the Comsat Angels. Не сейчас. Similar to Nightmares EP, Chasing Shadows is a companion piece to the first book in the Sekret Machines series, co-written by Tom DeLonge and A. Along with the EP is a planned documentary series. It was the second EP released by the band following DeLonge's exit from blink-182. Less concerned with attaining hits, Chasing Shadows is a return to form and an attempt to just make a good record. It's also the result of an association with Robert Palmer, a fan who executive produced the record. Despite dated production and material that doesn't match the band's first three records, the members refer to it as their fourth record. So they essentially disown both Land and 7 Day Weekend.
