The band boasts a diverse array of influences which can undeniably be spotted in their music occasionally. They have been described as 'Camp Math-Core', 'Spazz-Core', 'New Wave Post-Hardcore' & 'Nu-Jazz' Although the band are indifferent to labelling and welcome peoples expressions and descriptions of their music. The complete end result however, is always unmistakably The Harry Macintosh Project. It was his first album to get onto Billboard Magazine's Billboard 200 chart, remaining there for 15 weeks and reaching 120. Harry features jazz saxophonist Tom Scott, pianist Mike Melvoin, flutist Jim Horn, session drummer Jim Gordon, Larry Knechtel on bass, and David Cohen and Howard Roberts on guitars. The Harry Macintosh Project originally burst onto the Berkshire music scene in 2005. The band instantly stood apart from their peers who mostly consisted of punk and metal bands. The reason for this was their diverse and eclectic mix of influences. The band would often incorporate numerous musical elements into their music, such as jazz, metal, indie, post-rock, punk and rock.
