Goodness is the third studio album by American rock band The Hotelier. After being announced in February 2016, it was released in May through independent label Tiny Engines. The artwork was done by Brooklyn-based artist Xirin. It features a group of elderly people fully nude standing in a field. As early singles hinted, it's a very powerful album that bests everything the band has done before. The album is loaded with arty interludes, cathartic choruses, lyrics that demand close examination, and more. Gone is the tension, the nervous energy and the burning pain, replaced instead with a warm glow - a fullness. And yeah, I hear you about the atmosphere but I think Holden was just trying to cut down on the moshing and hell, it doesn't quite stir me wrong that Hotelier makes music too socially-conscious to mosh too. But, a proper crowd would certainly lose it to An Introduction, Dendron, A Deep Rest, Soft Animal, and yeah, the band put on a good performance, but it was tame that night.
