The Ikettes. Fine, Fine, Fine. The first album by the Ikettes, Soul The Hits, was released on Modern Records in 1966. Following the success of River Deep Mountain High in Europe, Ike & Tina Turner were asked to tour with The Rolling Stones during their British tour in the fall of 1966. The Ikettes on that tour were Rose Smith, Pat Arnold, and Ann Thomas. The Ikettes changed once again in 1969 when Edna Richardson became ill and was temporarily replaced by Stonye Figueroa. First known as the Artettes, the trio later changed it's name and began to record in 1960 A Fool In Love with Tina Turner. In 1965 the most well-known trio of Venetta Fields, Jessie Smith and Robbie Montgomery left the Ike & Tina Turner revue to record under the name The Mirettes. They were replaced quickly with P. Pat Arnold, Brenda and Patrice Holloway. The line-up was flexible and many talented singers passed through the ranks of The Ikettes.
