The Jazz Butcher, also known as The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy and The Jazz Butcher And His Sikkorskis From Hell, are a British musical group founded by Pat Fish. The band was formed in Oxford in 1982 by Pat Fish and Max Eider. The début album in Bath of Bacon was released by Glass Records in 1983. A second album A Scandal in Bohemia, also on Glass, featured guest appearances from David J and Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus. After four albums, and two singles collections for Glass, Fish signed to Creation. Distressed Gentlefolk. Jazz Butcher Conspiracy Artist Format: Audio CD. I picked up this album back in the 80s and have carried it around as a musical treasure, always dismayed by the fact that I couldn't get the CD - I'm not one of those vinyl fans, I've always wanted to hear these songs without all the warmth and the popping and crackling of my record. It's difficult to describe this humor in the songwriting reminds me somewhat of Barenaked Ladies and I suppose the music is perhaps ancestral as well.
