Album
Tambourine Man is the debut studio album by American rock band the Byrds, released on June 21, 1965 by Columbia Records. The album, along with the single of the same name, established the band as an internationally successful act and was influential in originating the musical style known as folk rock. The term was, in fact, first coined by the American music press to describe the band's sound in mid-1965, around the same time as the Mr. Tambourine Man single reached the top of the Billboard. Tambourine man, play a song for me I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to Hey Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me In the jingle jangle morning I'll come following you Though I know that evening's empire has returned into sand Vanished from my hand Left me blindly. Tambourine Man Lyrics: Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to, Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come. Take me on a trip upon your magic swirlin' ship My senses have been stripped, my hands can't feel to grip My toes too numb to step, wait only for my boot heels To be wandering I'm ready to go anywhere, I'm ready for to fade Into my own parade, cast your dancin' spell my way I promise. to go under it
