The Innocence Mission is the eponymous debut studio album by the band of the same name. It was recorded in six months in several studios in Los Angeles, California, including the Kiva, Oceanway Recording, and the Sound Castle. The album cover features the 1894 painting Impromptu Ball by Eva Roos. The album was re-released digitally on May 19, 2009 by A&M Records. Note: All songs written by Karen Peris, unless otherwise indicated. The End of the Innocence is the third solo studio album by Don Henley, the lead vocalist and drummer for the Eagles. The album was released in 1989, on Geffen Records, and would be his last release on that label. It was also his last solo album of the 1980s and it would be eleven years before he released another solo album, 2000's Inside Job. The album is his best selling album, selling over 6 million copies in the United States alone, peaking at No. The album featured three Top 40 singles The End. In contrast, the Innocence offered perky, well-crafted to the point of well-scrubbed tunes with the slightest of influences from folk-rock and psychedelia. Some of the songs - including the Top 40 hit There's Got to Be a Word Beyond the Meaning of Love and the smaller hit Mairzy Doats - could have been relics from the Tin Pin Alleymusic hall era, though dressed up with harmonies and arrangements that could have only been possible in the sunshine pop era.
