The Prisoner is a 17-episode British television series first broadcast in Canada beginning on September 6, 1967 then in the United Kingdom on 29 September 1967 and in the USA on June 1, 1968. It stars and was co-created by Patrick McGoohan, and combines spy fiction with elements of science fiction, allegory and psychological drama. A prisoner. When Patrick McGoohan began to direct them, they went from great to amazing. The last two episodes are simple but well phrased in imagery. His music for this show appears in 14 of the 17 episodes. He wrote music cues for orchestra and was an arranger as well as composing classical music. In the TV series there were other pieces of music that were already established compositions by various composers and they were not original to the Prisoner.
