The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Carabiniers and Greys SCOTS DG is a cavalry regiment of the British Army, and the senior Scottish regiment. The regiment, through the Royal Scots Greys, is the oldest surviving Cavalry Regiment of the Line in the British Army. The regiment is currently based at Leuchars Station, as part of the Scottish 51st Infantry Brigade. Following the end of the war and the demobilisation of the unit in 1946, the Royal Scots Greys adopted the Lothians Pipe Band as their first official Pipes & Drums and, 74 years on, now exist today as The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Pipes & Drums. The SNIY Pipes & Drums have now been resurrected and work alongside The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards as our paired reserve unit.
