"One of Britain’s favourite girl groups, The Saturdays, release ‘Headlines!’ through Fascination Records. The new album is the result of studio sessions that took place during Ego’s four-month chart reign at the start of the year. The songs from these sessions were originally intended for a new studio album to be released in 2011 but the girls had different plans. “As soon as we heard Missing You it just felt like a record that should be released now,” says Mollie King. “To us it’s the perfect summer song.”
'Headlines!’ is an eight-track album that includes a handful of sparkling new songs - plus Ego and their number two smash from last year, Forever Is Over. In a music industry where there is no longer a rule book, 'Headlines!' is an album that acts as a bridge between their top 10 album ‘Wordshaker’ from last year and their new studio album that will be released in the autumn of 2011.
Una Healy, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King and Vanessa White performed the lead single Missing You for the first time at T4 On The Beach earlier this month. Since they debuted in 2007 the girls have sold 1.8 million records and racked up a very impressive six top ten singles. They have also performed a sold out national tour and fronted a major campaign as the face of Impulse."

The group formed during the summer of 2007 and have been on hiatus since 2014. The lineup consists of Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, and Vanessa White. They were formed through Fascination Records, a sub-division of Polydor Records, who gave them an instant record deal with the label. When all is said and done, however, Headlines is still quite a good record, blending the best from what the Saturdays already had in their sound alongside some of their strongest recordings to date: Missing You, the album's lead single, is their most engaging ballad yet, and Higher is easily one of their funkiest, spunkiest numbers. Though Headlines may seem like a rushed, mashed-together excuse for an album, it is still thoroughly entertaining and fun: an album of this quality, if it had a few more tracks, would easily have been their strongest album yet.
