The Potty Training Years. Voodoo Glow Skulls. Still it does act as an interesting time capsule for the early years of punk ska. But with such a low end recording and some weak arrangements from the pitiful horn section, all but the most intense Glow Skulls fans could probably find better examples of punk, ska, andor punk ska from this time somewhere else. Voodoo Glow Skulls recorded their debut album Who Is, This Is for Dr. Strange Records in 1993, gaining the attention of Brett Gurewitz, owner of Epitaph band then signed to Epitaph Records and released a further four albums. The band began to tour worldwide with their first European tour in 1996 followed by Japan, Australia, Mexico, and South America. The Potty Training Years 19881992 is a re-release of the Signal Sound Systems Records album The Potty Training Years with some previously unreleased material. It is also the second album to feature a cover of the Beatles hit Here Comes the Sun though it is no different from the other version save for a four-second time difference. All tracks are written by Frank Casillas, Eddie Casillas, Jorge Casillas & Jerry O'Neil except where noted. Voodoo Glow Skulls are an American ska punk band formed in 1988 in Riverside, California by brothers Frank, Eddie and Jorge Casillas and their longtime friend O'Neill. Voodoo Glow Skulls first played out at backyard parties and later at Spanky's Café in their hometown of Riverside,Ca, where they played shows with the Angry Samoans, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Firehose, Murphy's Law and The Dickies. This label also released a glow-in-the-dark 12 EP titled We're Coloring Fun and the first release of The Potty Training Years on CD. The band continued to book their own diy tours.
