Notes

Venue: Memorial Coliseum, New Haven, Connecticut, USA, Saturday, December 15,

The labels on each LP are white. The title is "Rock N' Roll 1980 Six Pack" and each lp claims to be by a different band:
#1 "The Regenerators"
#2 "The Mod Boys"
#3 "Union Jack"

According to The Who Concert File book, this show was professionally recorded. This might be substantiated from the comments on the back cover where the "producers" of this recording wish to extend their gratitude in the following manner; Special Thanks Are In Order For: The Who, Their Light And Sound Crew, Their Road Crew, The Entire Staff At Decca, MCA And Warner Brothers, The Audience + the people that made this all possible. Obviously someone had a great sense of humour when making this one.

Album

The Who Tour 1979 was The Who's first concert tour since the death of original drummer Keith Moon. The tour supported their 1978 album Who Are You, and consisted of concerts in Europe and the United States and acknowledged the band's return to live performance. Following Keith Moon's death in September 1978, The Who decided to continue as band, recruiting former Small Faces drummer Kenney Jones keyboardist John Rabbit Bundrick was also added to the line-up for live performances, adding another. One of the songs lined up for the Who album is a song about a fabulous girl from the past. Its a Spanish-style song and I invited Gordon Giltrap MBE to come and play on the track. Here he is in my home studio. Gordon won his battle with cancer, and his hair went grey, but his health is good now, and he is a beacon of light, and of course a brilliant player. We each claim to have influenced each other over the years. Check this out for an example of the way we both strum like lunatics Gordon Giltrap: Heartsong from the Perilous Journey album. Heres Gordon in my home studio and a snippet o. Who is the twelfth studio album by the English rock band the Who, released on 6 December 2019. In January 2019, The Who confirmed that they were working on their first album of new material in 13 years since their 2006 studio album Endless Wire, due to contain dark ballads, heavy rock stuff, experimental electronica, sampled stuff and Who-ish tunes that began with a guitar that goes yanga-dang, as Townshend stated. As with previous Who albums, vocalist Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend. The first Who album in 13 years opens with a perfectly cynical Pete Townshend lyric: I dont careI know youre gonna hate this song. But its kind of hard to hate something that feels so familiar. Roger Daltrey sings the lyric and the ones that follow, claiming the song isnt new or diverse, with the same anger and conviction as the Whos earliest music, recorded more than half a century ago, and the melody is almost identical to the opening I dont mind of the bands 1966 single The Kids Are Alright. He even takes it a step farther, later in the song, singing, I dont mindOther g. The Who - WHO 2019. To favorites 2 Download album. Listen album. The Who. Songs in album The Who - WHO 2019. The WHO album review Check out my review of the Who's new album entitled 'WHO' Do these classic rock legends manage to recapture their classic sound Who has rarely been captured with the ferocity found in this recording. This is a fascinating snapshot of where The Who were as a live act just before they recorded Tommy but on the basis of this recording they had not yet reached their peak - it isn't remotely in the league of Live At Leeds. While ostensibly they were touring to promote The Who Sell Out, only two songs from that album appear here: Tattoo and Relax, the latter definitely one of the high points of this recording and as this is the only available live version it's one of the main USPs here. I've no idea why they weren't playing I Can See For Miles as well, unless the recording is. the who 79 tour gonna rape you. 1 follower. The Who Show, Los Angeles, California.
