Their music is propelled by strong melodies and accompanied by an assemblage of effects driven guitars, drawing influence from indie, post rock and classical genres. The Ticket have a strong involvement in the Brisbane music scene and have performed on numerous well known stages around Brisbane, including The Zoo, Troubadour, Alley Bar, Rics and Tongue and Groove. Awake is the seventh studio album by American Christian rock band Skillet. It is the follow-up to their Grammy-nominated album Comatose. The album was released August 25, 2009 by Lava Records, Ardent Records and Atlantic Records and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America RIAA on July 27, 2010, and has since gone double platinum, selling over 2,000,000 copies to date. It was nominated for Top Christian Album at the. Tickets Awake is one of the best classic rockpsych albums from a surprisingly fertile late 60searly 70s New Zealand scene. Tickets roots trace back to several late 60s blues rock and pop groups: the Challenge, the Blues Revival and the Jamestown Union. Despite hitting the top 20 with the funky rural rocker Country High and recording two albums, Tickets popularity never broke out of the AussieNew Zealand territories. Aztec Music reissued this classic Kiwi acid rock album on cd in 2010. Its a bit pricey 25 30 but well worth the money as an original vinyl copy of Awake will set you back 200 300. Reign Away
