Most of the songs on it were co-written by Buckley and Larry Beckett while they were in high school. It was recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, California. The album was re-released in 2001 in a compilation with follow up album Goodbye and Hello by WEAElektra, then again in 2005, this time coupled with Greetings from L. Tim Buckley went deeper into white funk on Sefronia, despite two problems: white funk was not the forte of these L. session musicians and female backup vocalists, and not the style for which Buckley himself had the greatest empathy. His voice isn't as stunning as usual on his next-to-last album, but the bigger problem is the material, which is usually forced and pedestrian.
