Volume 5 - Beautiful Music For Ugly Children

Volume 5 of the Farm Tapes contains the first recordings of what became the live version of Tadpoles. This set of 11 songs, with a few unrelated demos, was recorded in late 1988-1989 and released on cassette-only as “Tadpoles - Beautiful Music For Ugly Children” to a select group of friends and associates. The songs started with Michael Kite Audino recording a time-restricted drum beat on the 4-track, which were then used as a structure for Todd Parker to build songs around. Michael and Todd were pleased enough with the results to go forward with the plan of forming a live version of Tadpoles, based in NYC, to play these songs and more. Old Dirty Mushrooms and Judas, This is Jesus were eventually re-recorded at 24-track studios and released on proper Tadpoles albums. Michael and Todd re-recorded all 11 songs as Todd Parker and The Witches in 2012 and released this album as “Evil Bliss.”
