Tommy Roe a contemporary of Atlanta based stars Billy Joe Royal and Joe South achieved international acclaim in the 1960's.

His first hit, "Sheila", was a Number one record in September of 1962 and a chart success in England as well. Following this success Tommy moved to England where he became an important performer and artist. Follow-up hits included "Sweet Pea", "Hooray for Hazel" and his biggest hit, "Dizzy", all of which were "gold" records. Other Tommy Roe hits include "Jam Up, Jelly Tight", "Pearl", "We Can Make Music" and "Stagger Lee".
