One of my favorite albums ever. Tool's Aenima is a prog, metal masterpiece. It's one of the deeper, styled as Ænima is the second studio album by American rock band Tool. This album is my favourite Tool album as for me,its the most complete, my old small misgivings with Tool is an excess of extraneous infill tracks, which are themselves interesting, but this album scans beautifully, probably not as strong in some sense in comparison to Lateralus or Days, but this album is consistant and keeps me engaged, for anyone not. Musically, Tool took the first major step towards becoming a true progressive-rock band, as song lengths topped the eight-minute mark and the scope of their sonic pallette defied all easily classified genre boundaries. David Bottrill barely knew who Tool were when they asked him to produce Aenima The first two Tool releases, the Opiate EP and Undertow, were produced by Sylvia Massey. Ænima, 1996. Stinkfist, 05:11.
