Formed in 1974, the band were known for blending elements of progressive rock and flamenco music to make a style known as Andalusian rock or flamenco rock. Triana was formed in 1974 as a trio consisting of vocalist and organist Jesús de la Rosa Luque, guitarist Eduardo Rodríguez Rodway, and drummer Juan José Palacios, better known as Tele. This is where Triana pretty much abandoned the progressive rock elements, but in their case it didn't matter, even though progheads pretty much abandoned the band right here. But it's not a bad album. Not that they were the most challenging of bands out there. The original LP never came with a gatefold, and it came with a custom label, the only Movieplay LP I own so far with a custom label. I don't know what's up with Triana and candles, but candles tended to be featured in many of their album covers, and they even lit candles during their live shows.
