The Twilight Singers are an American indie rock band. The group was formed in 1997 by Greg Dulli as a side project during a hiatus from his group The Afghan Whigs. After the Afghan Whigs disbanded, Dulli used The Twilight Singers as his own artistic vehicle, and has now released five studio albums backed by worldwide tours. While in-between Afghan Whigs albums and amidst a dispute with their record label, Elektra Records, Dulli recorded demos for the act with friends and collaborators Shawn Smith. Perfect live release for the Twilight Singers. Does it sound a little raw Yes it does. Dulli and company really give these songs some new power on this live album. I can not recommend enough even to those with just a passing interest in the band this 2 CD set or even better, seeing the Twilight Singers Live. I've had the pleasure of seeing them a few times.
