A contrast to their 1983 live album Under a Blood Red Sky, Hasta la Vista Baby proves that U2 don't need the waving white flags and the revolutionary rage anymore. They look beyond that social chaos for a rock & roll good time, playing other hits like Where the Streets Have No Name and With or Without You so the fans who paid loads of cash to see one of the world's biggest bands wouldn't go home disappointed. Pure swagger was what it was all about - U2 exuding a real rawness - and Hasta la Vista Baby illustrates the prevalence of this band. Selections from the Mexico City concert were released on the live album Hasta la Vista Baby U2 Live from Mexico City. The album was released exclusively to members of U2's fan club magazine, Propaganda, in 2000. It features 14 songs from the band's 25-song performance. Track listing. All tracks are written by U2, except Pop Muzik which was written and recorded by M. Released in 2000, Hasta La Vista Baby was the second CD sent to subscribers of U2s fan club magazine, Propaganda. It was packaged in a card sleeve, and was mailed to subscribers in a separate envelope, and not with a specific issue of the magazine as Melon had been in 1995. Two tracks from the Mexico City concert not included on Hasta La Vista Baby were later released as b-sides to Beautiful Day: Last Night on Earth and If You Wear That Velvet Dress. The Mexico City performance of Discotheque, which was included on Hasta La Vista Baby, was also a Beautful Day b-side.
