Vanir is a PaganFolk metal band from Utrecht, Netherlands. In autumn 2007, fire was created and 2 men called Martijn and Mitch crafted the frame of Vanir. Soon an instrumental horde was added to Vanir. This horde consisted out of: bassguitar, rythmguitarVanir NL, synthesizer and leadguitar. In March 2008 they produced a demo called: Zwaard en Volk and a lot of paths were perfectly crafted for Vanir. With an horde of 6 musicians Vanir hacked their way into venues with songs such as Hef de Hoorn op Wodan and De Walkuren. After performed shows with bands as Waylander and Carach Angren. Vanir is a band which started with young members 16-18 and exists since 2007. Martijn en Mich were interested in metal and Norwegian and German mythology. Starting a band was an obvious thing to do, their goal, a catchy name, loud music and Dutch lyrics. After a lot of gigs the band recorded a demo. In 2010 the band decides to quit. Vanir Video
