Album
Miami Vice is a popular 1980s television series most noted for its use of pop music. Throughout its five season run, the series released multiple albums. In 2002, after extensive pressure from fans of the show, Jan Hammer finally released a more comprehensive collection of the score music he wrote for Miami Vice. While the first disc contained music that had already been released on previous soundtracks namely the three Miami Vice albums and Hammer's own album, Escape From Television, the second CD. This 2006 various-artists. That album is a reduction of Hammer's 2002 album, Miami Vice: The Complete Collection, which consists of the composer's instrumental music, some of it newly recorded, written as the soundtrack to the popular 1984-1989 NBC-TV crime series. The Best of Miami Vice is a 1996 soundtrack album containing music from the television series Miami Vice. It is largely a compilation of tracks previously released on the show's soundtrack albums, containing a selection of popular and score music taken from the first four seasons of the show. This is one of no less than five Miami Vice soundtrack albums released with the title The Best of Miami Vice, with others released in 1989, 1994, 2004 and 2006. Miami Vice.
