Il progetto “Radio Scalo” nasce per iniziativa dell’associazione di promozione sociale AIM ed è strettamente connesso all’esperienza di formazione di respiro internazionale “Europodcast”. “Radio Scalo” aggrega volontari di varia provenienza e competenze diversificate, allo scopo di creare un palinsesto di programmazione continua, con i mezzi della web radio e della web tv, e sfruttando inoltre tutte le possibilità della rete (social network, blog, siti e altre piattaforme) per la diffusione e la condivisione di contenuti. Ma lo spazio “Radio Scalo”, oltre che virtuale e a diffusione e carattere europeo, intende essere anche uno spazio fisico che funga da luogo di incontro, confronto e valorizzazione delle più disparate componenti culturali, sociali e artistiche del quartiere San Lorenzo di Roma e dei quartieri limitrofi. Tale luogo è concepito come una vera e propria vetrina affacciata sulla strada, che faciliti e stimoli l’interattività con la realtà locale.
Tenendo presente la doppia ottica internazionale/locale, come pure la relazione fra le due componenti e la contestualizzazione dell’una nell’altra, “Radio Scalo” si propone di realizzare programmi di qualità di forte interesse e vario argomento: informazione, cultura, intrattenimento, musica, arte, letteratura, formazione.
